Southeast President Letter

The Southeast Chapter has had a very busy few months and We have breaking rally news!

The ACA National Rally at Montgomery, Texas is nearing capacity!
Registration is still available, if you are planning on attending, I recommend you register soon! Don’t forget we are having our SEACA pre-rally before the National. Details are available at www.myamewricancoach.com be sure and tell them you are with Southeast. Southeast will be well represented with about 25 coaches already registered.

Southeast’s spring 2019 rally will be held at Florida Grande RV Resort in Webster, Florida. Our hosts are hard at work to provide us a great rally. We have not been to this location before and are looking forward to a fun filled event. Sandy Gallup has put together a very informative agenda that is available at www.southeastaca.net. In case you missed it, Webster has a great flea market, information is available here http://websterwestsidefleamarket.com/

The Happy Wanderers are joining Southeast for the three-day pre-rally to the national rally in Texas. Just call the campground and reserve your early days. I strongly encourage attending our pre-rally, especially if you are a first timer, the slower pace and wonderful social hours allow for a great time reuniting with old friends and making new ones.

Southeast returns to the Gulf Waters RV Resort in Fort Myers Beach in October. This is a wonderful facility with great sites and a large well-equipped meeting room. There is a lot to do in this area. We had our first rally there in October 2018 and when we asked if there was an interest in a return the vote was unanimous with no recount required.

Our annual Christmas rally will be held at the award-winning Sun N Fun resort, Sarasota, FL. There is a lot to do in this area. Rally hosts Brett & Sandy Sloan, Martin Mancuso and Bob & Sue Moore are already making plans!

Everybody that attended the Eastern Regional Rally at Lazydays, and the Supershow Rally had a great time! On our first night at the regional we had great entertainment with SEACA’s own Larry Hornsby, Roger Dodger Darling Davis and our very welcome guest Carolyn Mack.

We will be returning to Lazydays in January 2020 for the 9th Annual Regional Rally. This rally requires no up-front payment. This rally sold out in 2019! Registration is now available at our web site www.southeastaca.net .

Our Supershow rally continues to be bigger and better! In January 2019 we had 41 SEACA coaches in attendance. I would like to thank American Coach and Lazydays for their support at our Supershow Rally. Thanks also goes out to all those that helped at the Supershow, we had our own tent city of pop ups and great social hours. Our Low country boil cooks Rodney Renner and Keith Landers prepared a fantastic meal! 2019 was SEACA’s third rally at the Supershow and we are already making plans for a return in 2020. The Supershow rally registration is through the Florida Recreational Vehicle Trade Association (FRVTA) the registration becomes available in the fall and historically sells out fast!

Southeast returned to Fort Wilderness in February. When the attendees were polled on whether we should return in 2020 the response was overwhelmingly positive. A Return to the Wilderness 2020 has already been scheduled.

Information, agendas and registration for our rallies is always available at www.myamericancoach.com and www.southeastaca.net.

Welcome to Southeast’s newest members! John & Margie Harvey, Polk City, FL, Bill & Betty Makowski, Grayling, MI, Mike & Cindy Watford, Kissimmee, FL and Donald & Connie Whitecotton, Montgomery, AL, Donald & Virginia Eitner from Morehead City, NC and Russell Casella from Yorba Linda, CA
