Hello Southeast!

Here are our highlights,

  • Registration for the 2018 Regional Rally is closed. We are already making plans to return in 2019 further information should be available soon!
  • The 2018 Supershow rally sold out in October, one month after registration became available. There may be cancellations and we can fill them!
  • Fort Wilderness rally registrations are going very well! We have 19 coaches registered. If you are interested, you must register no later than January 4.
  • Plans for and registrations for our St. Augustine rally are going very well! This rally may be a sell out! Valuable information on St. Augustine can be found here: http://www.myamericancoach.com/rallydocs/seaca/StAugustine.pdf
  • Registration for the ACA National at Spearfish, SD is available. There are only 120 sites and over 70 are taken! Registration available at www.myamericancoach.com Plans for a Southeast pre-rally are taking place!

Now, back to the newsletter. A big Southeast “Thank you! goes out to our December rally hosts, Terry (Muffin) and Belinda Moorefield, Wendy Gaynor, Dave & Ann Laudick and Grover and Mary Ann Felch. There are great photos in the new ACA magazine! Southeast is very fortunate and grateful to have these volunteer hosts working on our rallies!

Southeast will have forty-two coaches attending the Supershow rally! This popular annual event sold out in October and the number of SEACA coaches is ten more than January 2017! I know there are still folks that would like to attend, if you are one of them, I hope that you continue to call the FRVTA and if you let us know we will also put you on our Southeast waiting list. The Supershow immediately follows the regional rally at Lazydays. We will park together, have daily social hours and take advantage of all the Supershow has to offer, including show coaches, seminars, vendors, and entertainment! For additional information refer to http://www.frvta.org/show/florida-rv-supershow/ .

New to our rally schedule is an opportunity to visit Disney in February 2018 with our “Southeast adventure at Fort Wilderness”. Good news, according to www.disneyfanatic,com, the first week of February is the least crowded time to visit Disneyworld. Fort Wilderness is expensive, but during the time of our adventure will be the lowest cost of the year. We have sites left but you must register no later than January 4! Call Hilda Neal at (302 598 8892).

Our St. Augustine rally is looking great! This is a “destination” rally held at a highly rated RV Park, the closest campground to downtown St. Augustine. Registration and extra days are available at www.southeastaca.net A very informative magazine article about St. Augustine can be found here. http://www.myamericancoach.com/rallydocs/seaca/StAugustine.pdf

Southeast will have a fall rally in October at Gulf Waters RV park, the highest rated park in the Fort Myers area. This rally is a work in progress.

We are hoping that the Sunshine Key RV Resort will be ready to support the rally in November. It would be wonderful to make a “Return to the Keys” as we have in the past. In case you missed it, Sunshine key was in the direct path of Hurricane Irma and received extensive damage.

There is great news regarding our annual Christmas rally! We are returning to the award-winning Sun N Fun at Sarasota and our experienced host team of Terry (Muffin) & Belinda Moorefield, Wendy Gaynor and Dave & Ann Laudick have graciously volunteered to provide a fun filled rally!

Registrations for the 2019 Eighth Annual Eastern Regional Rally at Lazydays will probably be available soon.

We have already notified the Florida Recreational Vehicle Trade Association (FRVTA) that we will be returning in January 2019 for our third “Southeast attends the Florida RV Supershow”. This rally receives a lot of interest by our chapter and SEACA attendance increased in 2018.

Our webmaster, Keith Landers does a great job providing up to date information on the Southeast web site (www.southeastaca.net) and our Southeast Facebook page www.facebook.com/Southeastaca)

Southeast’s annual meeting will be held at Lazydays and your chapter board of directors wants to hear from you! Our goal is to keep our annual rallies fresh and exciting and continue to look for other places that would be great rally sites! We are a very busy chapter that likes to plan twelve months in advance. In 2017/18 we added three new rally locations.

Ray and I feel very fortunate to be a part of this chapter and we hope to see you soon!
