Christmas Rally 2018

A big Southeast “Thank you!” goes out to our 2018 Christmas Rally hosts. We are fortunate that our experienced rally hosts Terry & Belinda Moorefield, Wendy Gaynor and Dave & Ann Laudick along with Rick & Nancy Moore volunteered to provide another fun filled rally. Southeast’s Christmas Rally has been held at this resort for several years and the 2018 rally has exceeded our capacity of thirty coaches. We are already planning a 2019 return to Sun N Fun!

Rally updates

We are planning rallies through April 2020 and I am including these events for your long-range scheduling.

The Eastern Regional Rally has had a couple of cancellations and there is space available! Register on line at www.southeastaca.net.

Registration for the Supershow Rally quickly sold out! However, there have been a few cancellations and the FRVTA will allow us to replace someone with another SEACA coach. If you are registered and cannot go or missed the opportunity to register, please let us know at pauline@southeastaca.net

Our “Return to the (Fort) Wilderness” will be held in February 2019. To register and reserve for extra days call our agent (Hilda), her phone number is (302)598-8892. Be sure to tell Hilda you are with Southeast Early and late days are available. Hilda has blocked 30 sites from February 1 till the 10th, our rally dates are from February 3rd through the 8th.

March brings us to Perry, Georgia for the American Coach Chapter of the FMCA’s pre-rally and the FMCA’s 99th International Convention and RV Expo. Details can be located at www.acc-fmca.com.

Southeast’s spring 2019 rally will be held at Florida Grande RV Resort in Webster, Florida. Our hosts are already hard at work to provide a great rally. We have not been to this location before and are looking forward to a fun filled event. Our hosts have planned a fun schedule with great meals, entertainment, socials and optional adventures. Sandy Gallup has put together a very informative agenda that is available at www.southeastaca.net. In case you missed it, Webster has a great flea market, information is available here http://websterwestsidefleamarket.com/

The Happy Wanderers are joining Southeast for the pre-rally to the national rally in Texas. Just call the campground and reserve your early days.

Southeast returns to the Gulf Waters RV Resort in Fort Myers Beach in October. This is a wonderful facility with great sites and a large well-equipped meeting room. There is a lot to do in this area. We had our first rally there in October 2018 and when we asked if there was an interest in a return the vote was unanimous with no recount required.

A more in-depth rally description is available at www.southeastaca.net

Where do my dues go?

Your dues go to support Southeast rallies. Our rally hosts work very hard to provide great rallies with a minimum cost to attendees and at times the Southeast treasury contributes. The Annual Regional receives contributions from ACA National and Southeast. Our membership chair, Yvonne Brim recently sent out dues’ notices. I hope you will stay with Southeast! You may renew at www.southeastaca.net. Please pay your dues and if you have any questions contact Yvonne at yvonne@southeastaca.net

Seeking volunteers

You can see by our rally schedule that Southeast remains a very active chapter, we have a lot planned and thankfully most of our rallies already have volunteer hosts. There is room for improvement and I hope you support our chapter! We have a lot of experienced hosts that have an amazing level of rally expertise and my hope is that we get more volunteers. Nobody will be expected to host a rally without a team! I know from personal experience that being a volunteer allows you to have fun, meet people and enjoy being part of a successful team.

SEACA annual meeting and elections

Southeast will have our annual meeting at Lazydays in January 2019. We will receive reports from our Treasurer, Rally coordinator, Membership chair, Secretary, Vice President and President.

SEACA Elections

It is time for Southeast elections! The offices of president, vice president, treasurer and secretary are up for elections. The positions of Rally Coordinator and Membership Chair are appointees.

Our bylaws require a nominating committee of three past SEACA officers. Doug & Jan Thompson and Ray Shea are the nominating committee. If you are interested in serving as an officer, please inform us at ray@southeastaca.net . Our bylaws are available on our website www.southeastaca.net Our bylaws are password protected.

Welcome to Southeast’s newest members! Frederick & Patti Distasio, Merritt Island, FL, Frank , Boca Raton, FL, Rebecca Elias, Ocoee, FL, George & Joy Gillin, New Port Richey, FL and Michael & Sandra Harrington, Middletown, DE.
