Southeast President Letter

Hello Southeast!

I thought I would try something different.  Things you need to know right now!

  • Register for the Regional Rally at Lazydays! We may have to relinquish our unreserved sites on December 12.  Registration has never been easier, it can be completed on line.  No payment up front!
  • The Supershow rally sold out in October.
  • Fort Wilderness rally registrations are coming in. We have about twelve sites left.
  • Plans for and registrations for our St. Augustine rally is going well!
  • Registration for the ACA National at Spearfish, SD is open and spots are going fast! There are only 120 sites and over 40 are taken!  Registration available at myamericancoach.com  Plans for a pre-rally and/or a rolling are beginning, please let us hear from you!

Now, back to the newsletter.  We will be heading to Sarasota soon to attend our annual Christmas rally, this year hosted by Terry (Muffin) and Belinda Moorefield, Wendy Gaynor, Dave & Ann Laudick and Grover and Mary Ann Felch.   Southeast is very fortunate and grateful to have these volunteer hosts working on our rallies!

Registrations for the Seventh Annual Eastern Regional Rally at Lazydays are still available for a short time.  As of December 12, Lazydays requires us to relinquish our unreserved sites!  There are sites available, get your registrations in!  Registration is even easier for 2018 as it can be done on line at www.southeastaca.net and there is no immediate cost.  This rally includes four nights at the Lazydays RV campground, catered meals and entertainment.

Southeast will have forty-one coaches attending the Supershow rally!  This popular annual event sold out in October!  I know there are still folks that would like to attend, if you are one of them, I hope that you continue to call the FRVTA and if you let us know we will also put you on our Southeast waiting list.  The Supershow immediately follows the regional rally at Lazydays.  We will park together, have daily social hours and take advantage of all the Supershow has to offer, including show coaches, seminars, vendors, and entertainment!   For additional information refer to http://www.frvta.org/show/florida-rv-supershow/ .

New to our rally schedule is an opportunity to visit Disney in February 2018 with our “Southeast adventure at Fort Wilderness.  More good news, according to www.disneyfanatic,com, the first week of February is the least crowded time to visit Disneyworld.  This rally is something that has been discussed for several years and Windsor and Pamela Anderson have stepped forward to help make this event happen.  There were thirty sites reserved for SEACA and half of them are now taken! Details on how to register may be found on the southeast and ACA web sites.  Windsor and Pamela are already working on a list of fun things to do that will not require a park ticket.   Fort Wilderness is expensive, but during the time of our adventure will be the lowest cost of the year.

We are already receiving registrations for our rally at St. Augustine!  We have visited Compass RV Park, (www.compassrvpark.com) and we were are impressed!    The campground owners are in the process of adding sites, a pool and upgraded cable. This is a “destination” rally held at a highly rated RV Park, the closest campground to downtown St. Augustine.    Registration and extra days are available at www.southeastaca.net

Our webmaster, Keith Landers does a great job providing up to date information on the Southeast web site (www.southeastaca.net) and our Southeast Facebook page www.facebook.com/Southeastaca)  Almost all of our rally registrations and membership transactions are now completed from the southeast web site.

Your chapter board of directors wants to hear from you!  Southeast has several annual rallies that I believe will be continued, but we are always looking for other places that would be great rally sites! We are a busy chapter that likes to plan twelve months in advance.  In 2017/18 we added three new rally locations.

Welcome to Southeast’s newest members!  Cynthia Courtney, Jupiter, FL, Eric & Carol Lombardi, Naples, FL, Martin Mancuso, Andrews, NC, Frank & Laverne Manno, Sarasota, FL, Andrew & Teri Peterson, Labelle, FL, Derwin & Lynn White, Panama City, FL, Ken & Linda Winters, Huntsville, AL and Pam Young, Macon, GA.
